It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Alright- It's official: I am DONE with homework for the rest of this semester! Well, I mean, with the exception of 2 exams and a final paper, I am DONE with homework! Finished my German project about a very messed up gentleman by the name of George Grosz... dude had problems. oh well. It snowed yesterday, which was nice, because it allowed me to have a great morning taking pictures! I took 103 pictures and came out of editing with about 14 good images. did some HDR, Macro, you name it. I wanted to get a pic of a random guy having an impromptu snowball fight but I was too slow. what are you gonna do? Still having a great week; a little emotionally confused but all-in-all a good week. can't wait for the weekend.... HOCKEY!

HDR Phillips hall! :D I like this picture. its very vivid.
Now, since I have all homework done, I think I will eat something, then probably play some games... who knows what then?

Brace Yourselves.... winter is coming

So much snow today! I got to walk outside in wonderful snow... and wind. Oh well. tried to get a good pic of the snowfall, this is the best I could manage with snow falling onto the lens... oh well. Week is going well, just need to finish this German project that is plaguing me. I like snow. it is very soothing. This is my first week in a while with two positive days in a row. I have been riding a roller coaster so to speak for ages.... But I am just content to do nothing but be content.

A day late, a dollar short

Well... I already missed a day... This is gonna be harder than I thought. I took this picture yesterday, and this will count as yesterday's post. I made a photo collage for a class, and to be honest, the image turned out pretty awesome. check it out.

Done writing. ugh.

I just feel used. It's just before exams and I ALREADY feel all used up... I just wrote a 5 page essay in one sitting pretty much. I took this picture on one of my "imagination breaks"... yeah, that's what I'm calling it... and then I edited it (a little blur to make the target vivid and obviously a b/w filter) because as I was looking at the books, over which my paper should be, I realized I was like the books: totally used. I have nothing left in my tank to go with. oh well. I'm going to bed. maybe I will wake up before my first class tomorrow. Then again, maybe not.

Used. Just used. One of many.

I Believe!

WOW! what a weekend! We beat #3 Minnesota last night, and tied today to take the series and the Trophy. So proud of the team, and also proud of my friends in Slapshots. They were loud, it was fantastic. I was surprised that even when the section was pared down, we could still get our noise level up! I introduced a new cheer this year with the help of others: known as the "I believe" cheer, it is strong and loud and motivating. our guys on the ice love it, and when it's full power... WOW. I made signs because I love this cheer, this team, this building, this student section. I was always told I needed to find a way to make MSU smaller; find a group of people you love being around. Well: I found it. Slaps is my family. and I believe that they are the best folks around MSU!

The "I believe" sign, signed by the entire MSU team. Love this sign.

Black Friday: Black for the Gophers Maybe.

What a day! Watched the Wings beat the Bruins, and then went to see the MSU hockey team play against the Gophers. they were #2 in the nation, and we played hungry. it payed off, and MSU won 4-3. We play again tomorrow! Cannot wait!

Luke, Dylan and Meredith getting in on the posters!

We got there early, and I was carrying so many signs. most looked like the "I believe" posters above, but there were a few other ones! We got on the goalies case and we rattled him. we scored 4 goals on a goalie considered to be one of the top prospects for the NHL. Here's hoping we do it again tomorrow!

Day 1- Losing time, finding a hobby.

Alright! Here we are, on Thanksgiving evening... I am sitting here at a friends' house. I was thinking all day about how I have been listless recently, and How I needed to document my thoughts somehow. A diary has never appealed to me before, but taking one picture a day seemed more productive: I could still express myself, but I would also be generating something to prove to myself I am accomplishing something! I also realize that no one is going to read this, and that no one particularly cares about my crappy photos, but this is for me, and not for others. And so, with that, I give you my day one Picture:
I took this using 6 images and stitching them together.

I love landscapes and taking pictures of them. A panorama is the ultimate landscape.Recently, when I bought a DSLR I realized that I could use Photomerge in Photoshop to stitch multiple images together to do this. I love this image.

It should be mentioned that I MUST take a new picture every day from here on out, because that's the whole point of this. This is what I chose because I decided to do this at 11 in the evening. I will try to document my thoughts via ONE picture per day from here on out for a year, and maybe beyond that. For now, suffice to say I am excited and I will be doing this for a ling time to come!
